a blessing to others!
Our medical missions teams now travel to Africa a minimum of twice a year. Depending on the location and size of the team (from 12–40 persons), 1,000–3,500 people receive treatment each visit, lasting 4-5 days. Countries visited include Sierra Leone, The Gambia, The Peoples Republic of Congo, Liberia and Burundi.
Often the large teams split up to 2 or 3 teams visiting smaller towns and villages such as Lunsar and Kenema in Sierra Leone. The word spreads rapidly about he upcoming medical missions team visit and people comes from many miles around, waiting for days for treatment. After being seen by a doctor or nurse, each person is prayed for and invited to attend revival services at night.
The true physician is Jesus Christ and he can break the bondages many of these peoples are in if they get a chance to hear the gospel. Lives are transformed through salvation and the village people have a new life in the family of God at their local church. Opposition to salvation is strong, but the need and message is clear.
